FijiCare Partners with FMA to Strengthen Fiji’s Healthcare System

FijiCare Insurance is proud to announce its $50,000 pledge as the major naming rights sponsor for the Fiji Medical Association (FMA) in 2025. This strategic partnership is focused on enhancing healthcare services across Fiji by funding essential initiatives, including medical conferences and professional development programs for healthcare workers nationwide.
Krishika Narayan, Chief Operating Officer of FijiCare, emphasizes the significant role of public-private partnerships in improving healthcare. “Healthcare is not just a service, but a responsibility,” says Narayan. “We aim to work hand-in-hand with the Fiji Medical Association to elevate the standards of healthcare services throughout the country.”
In 2024, FijiCare processed over 176,000 medical claims and paid out more than $22 million in claims to support their insured members, further reinforcing their commitment to quality healthcare.
Dr. Alipate Vakamocea, President of the Fiji Medical Association, highlights the importance of this partnership in training healthcare professionals and raising public health awareness. “The financial support will not only enhance professional development but will also aid in educating the public on crucial health issues, especially during health crises such as the dengue outbreak.”
This partnership is a symbol of mutual commitment to strengthening Fiji’s healthcare system and ensuring that healthcare professionals are equipped to address both current and future challenges.
